Add a 3D to "Display Settings automatic change mode"?
« on: May 28, 2017, 11:11:00 pm »

Is it worth adding a 3D Option to the Custom Display Settings auto changer?  I've been toying with my new 4K PJ and have MC set to upscale everything to 4K at the correct Frame Rate, but with a BD 3D what is happening is:
1) MC Changes to 4K @ 24 hz as per the display rate rule, then
2) madVR Changes it again to 1080p / 24frame packed

As this PJ has a 10 sec hdmi sync time that is 20 sec from pressing playing play to having it work (if all the changes don't cause issues along the way).

Thanks
Nathan

Unfortunately, MC doesn't have the required information to reliably put the display into 3D mode, hence why we let madVR do that.

Mine are all auto tagged with File Type = bdmv3d if that helps.

May also be less of an issue as I've found my PJ has a firmware update available to fix the freezing issue when on re-sync... but I have to wait a week or so until a specific USB - Serial Adaptor and Null Modem cable arrives to do it myself.... (who uses Serial Ports these days!!!!)
