Pi 2 design - 502DAC - Pro Audio Shield?
« on: June 10, 2017, 08:48:00 am »

Hello People,
I found this and wonder if anyone has first hand experience with it? Using an RPi and MC of course...

I'm currently using the HifiBerry Digi+ - going into a Schiit Yggy.

Any thoughts or feedback are welcome,
thank you!

Do you have any problems with the hifiberry connection to the Yggdrasil?  I would expect that a coaxial digital connection from the hifiberry would be the same as from another board like the one you listed.

Nice DAC by the way!

Brian.

Hi thank you,
Well the current Digi+ has coax but not BNC, which the Yggy does and Mike - it's designer, prefers.
The new version of the Digi+ supports BNC but you need to solder it on yourself which I have no experience in...

I also like the option of AES in the future.

I'd be interested to hear form people who are familiar with these boards if there's any advantage, the two newer ones have special clocks...

Thank you,
