i've got a fresh version of windows 10 installed and jriver 22

when trying to play a dvd I'm getting black screen and audio only..video will not play.  I am able to stream video without error.

all video settings are set as default.

I have anydvd hd installed. I've tried it with and without this installed.

First thing you should do is make sure you have all the latest Windows Updates installed. There was a Windows Update (and a subsequent update which fixed it) that broke DVD playback on Windows 10. If that's not that, try switching between Red October Standard to Red October HQ (or vice versa).

i tried just about everything..including uninstalling madvr and reinstalling and switching between hq and standard and didn't get any results.....i reformatted with fresh os install and didn't change any video settings and i'm not getting dvd playback

Did you update Windows?

Yea windows was fully updated

I realized I mistyped above...after the fresh install of Windows and leaving everything default I was able to get playback successfully
