Me and a lot of people would like to see this feature implemented.
It is annoying to rotate the mouse wheel and the video to move forward or backward.
I like to use this feature like increasing or decreasing the volume of a video.
Please, put an option that allows to choose the function of the mouse. wheel.
Thanks.

Try to hover over the volume slider and then use the mouse wheel.  I believe that changes the volume.

Assuming you have a mouse with buttons on it, and JRiver can "see" the buttons on your mouse, try using those to change volume instead.  I'm not sure if mouse input is a part of their remote control setup though.

A good feature but it doesn't help preventing the accidental interruption of video playback because it's just that: accidental. It's not possible (or convenient) to always remember moving the mouse there before touching the mouse wheel and this is point of the mouse wheel configuration options.
