Show & Play Video (MP4) Files
« on: June 13, 2017, 11:10:06 am »

Just imported a folder containing both MP3 and MP4 files.  MP3 shows and plays.  MP4 does not show or play.

Can this be corrected?

Check your import settings.

Are they M4P?  Apple's protected format?

Knowing what these files are is definitely the first step.  Audio or Video?  As Jim asked, if they are audio, are they DRM files?

The import options control what gets imported.  Then MC's Views control what you see if which views.  If they are Video files, you should see them under Video in the Navigation Pane on the left.

MP3 is an audio file which shows in the album track listing and MC20 has no issue.

MP4 is a video from YouTube and plays both audio and video fine using Windows Media Player.  I am assuming it is MPEG-4 format.

However, the MP4 does not show in the track listing of the album.  When I try to "OPEN WITH" MC20 directly from the folder containing the MP4 file, MC opens a text box indicating "Media type video is not supported".

Beyond that not sure what more I can tell you.
