I've been using JRemote for several years to control JRiver wirelessly.  Over the last few months I've occasionally had connectivity issues.  With the wireless network working fine for both my IPad and Media PC, start up JRiver and it loads fine.  Start up JRemote, and it can't see the Media PC on the wireless network.  This happened again this evening and it is very frustrating, less than 24 hours ago all of this connected fine, and as far as I can see nothing has changed!

Don't know if it's a problem with my network or JRiver/JRemote bug.  On previous occasions the problem has resolved itself, but this has taken anywhere from a few minutes to more than a week.  Rebooting wireless modem, PC, or iPad doesn't appear to help.

Would appreciate any suggestions as to what might be causing this and I might stop it happening again.

Thanks

Well, opened the appropriate port to the ports and system services in the Mcafee firewall application and the problem went away.  Have never had to do this before, but this seems to have fixed the problem.....for the moment.

Problems back, beginning to think this is an AT&T Gateway issue, tried changing the firewall settings so pc running JRiver in DMZPlus mode, made no difference.

Tried loading the Panel in MC23, can do this on the PC by typing localhoast:52199 into the browser and it works fine.  Do this on the iPad replacing local host with pc IP address and it times out.  Just about ready to call it day with this and give up. Any suggestions as to what is wrong and how I might fix it would be greatly appreciated.

You need to open 52100 through 52199.
