MC as a windowless DLNA renderer (Windows PC)
« on: August 26, 2017, 12:22:16 pm »

Hello guys,

could you please tell me, is it possible to setup JRiver MC as a silent DLNA renderer? So, MC should:
  • start silently on Windows startup
  • always stay in tray (i.e. main window should be hidden all the time
  • MC should execute DLNA AVControlPoint's commands (play, stop, etc.), show images and play videos in full screen - this part is working perfectly, already tested
  • on receiving DLNA "stop" command, playback window should close and NO MAIN WINDOWS should be displayed, MC must stay "in tray". This is most important and most wanted requirement!

So, I'd like to have very same behavior as a smart TV's embedded DLNA renderers has.

If it's already possible, could you provide me some instructions how to achieve my goals (step by step). If not, could you tell me, how to submit feature request to devs, or how to implement this functionality by myself (I'm programmer).

Thank you,

WBR, Sergey
