Allo Piano 2.1 Experience?
« on: September 27, 2017, 10:59:56 am »

Hello all

I purchased an Allo Piano 2.1 DAC for my rpi3. I've got it working fine, from ALSAMixer I can set subwoofer mode, crossover, etc. and I can confirm that it works. My hope however, is that I can use JRiver to set delay on the left/right and (fingers crossed) run a little parametric EQ as well.

As far as I can tell Piano 2.1 is exposed to JRiver as a regular two channel DAC as tweaking level in Room Correction does not affect the subwoofer. I've messed around with the output format and tried the various Audio Device options available all to no avail.

So I'm wondering if there is anything else I can try or if there is anyone who has experience with this DAC and JRiver?

Here is a link to the DAC https://www.allo.com/sparky/piano-dac-2-1.html

I've attached the technical details PDF provided by Allo for reference.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions,
Matt

I got my answer at DIY Audio in the manufacturer thread. I figured I'd share.

"The multi channel is only available in the driver not the player software."
