I am using MC23 x64 currently at the 23.0.60 (64-bit) level.  The program says an update is available and, when I try to install it, I get a pop-up window with the following error:

C:\ Windows\System32\MC23.exe

Windows cannot find 'C:\Windows\System32\MC23.exe'.  Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again.

I don't think this executable is supposed to be in the System32 subdirectory but, rather, in the Program Files subdirectory.

Re-install 23.0.60 first; then try the auto update. (or manually download and install the upgrade)

There is only one C:\Windows\System32\MC23.exe for both 32 and 64bit versions. If you have both versions installed and un-install one it deletes MC23.exe; re-installing the remaining version on top of itself puts the missing file back.

I had the same error.

I went to the downloads folder and just ran the installer from there. Hopefully will work properly next update......
