Visual Identification of Type of Album
« on: October 06, 2017, 10:32:14 am »

Does JRiver offer icons or some other visual way to identify an album.

For example, for an album I may have the original album, the remaster of the album, and high resolution version and and SACD version.

Is there any way I can visually ad an icon or a badge to an album so that when I browse my albums, I know which version it is?

I should have kept up my studies at Computer Processing Institute back in 1966 when I got out of high school.  All this forward slash, back slash, equals would mean so much more to me.  I am stuck in the red wire in the black hole stage of programming. Ugh!  Good luck steveoat.  You'll get it.  This Forum is great for getting help!

There's no straight forward way.  You'd have to make a field that contained that information and then use that field's value to display what you want; presumably in the color that you want.  I simply put that type of information into a field called [Album Info] and then I display [Album Info] below the rest of the thumbnail text.  I don't use colors for that, as it's not important for my particular collection.

I sometimes just use a different album cover or take the current album cover into paint and edit it with a visual text pertaining to the album type...
