Had this for a few years. I know that the Rpi doesn't like being powered down. OTOH we had several outages at my last house and it always recovered fine.
Moved to a place with lots of T-storms and brief power blinks. IdPi is now crashing every 24 hours or so and when I reboot it there is no license or library. I am entering the license from the main menu.
I took an image of the SD card when I first got the box. I got a new SD card and put that image on it and bought a UPS to plug the IdPi wall wart into. I am having the same problems.
I am beginning to think it's related to some update.
I am also having a network problem that is probably not JRiver related but odd. I changed a lot of hardware when I moved to the new house so its hard to guess what's causing it. The renderers randomly appear and disappear from the available list both on the IdPi and my windows box MC install. They also do so in the windows network screen. The actual devices are staying on the network and can see the servers. I.E If I use MC on either box to push songs to my new Yamaha receiver, it will play a few songs and quit when the renderer disappears. If I use the Yamaha GUI to play songs from the media server, it will play all night. If I use JRemote to push songs from the IdPi to a renderer, it will crap out after a few songs.
If I used the IdPi as a player and play songs from the NAS, the device connected to its' USB port will play, if not all night, until MC crashes on the thing again.
