Dolby Digital Encoding in Linux?

I'm trying to get my Creative SB1095 DAC working in Linux using SPDIF out to a Yamaha AVR, and can only get 2 channel working (5.1 works in Win8.1/10 with no 3rd party drivers). Is DD encoding working in the linux version? Running latest .80 in Mint 18.2......

MC on Linux doesn't support output of compressed formats yet (except DSD over DoP)

Can this be related to the current audio jumping issues via dlna ?
