I have read through older posts on this topic, but nothing direct, so here goes:
-music media files are on a Synology disk station, 2016 vintage, running latest version of DSM.
-Single copy of MC21 is running on iMac
-single copy of JRemote (3.22) is running on iPad
I was running JRiver the other evening in three zones - 2 Sonos zones and an OPPO 205 zone. This all worked very well, BTW.
Was adding some new rips and fixing some tags on MC21 last nite - tagging was excrutciatingly slow. Usually it is near instant. Other file access to the Synology worked as usual.
What should I look for?
Should I explicitly allow JRiver access to the Synology files? Finder sees them just fine.
