How to switch between read-only and read/write mode access to external library

I am using MC23 and I am sharing my library with family and using it external when on travel. When from the same PC i try to switch from a read/write access to a read only access I can not find out how to do that? It seems that even to delete the library from the list does not invoke a question of user id when reloading through the same access code. The system does not ask for user ID under this scenario and i presume it uses the old one which is somehow stored.

What am I overlooking?

Read / write only works if authentication (login / password) is set on the server.
