Flac playback problem
« on: May 05, 2017, 12:51:20 pm »

Hello fellow audioholics,

I'm using MC 17.0.189 on my ThinkPad with a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2. I just tried to play a flac file I have had no difficulty with in the past, and was greeted by an error message and no tunage.

"Something went wrong with playback.

Details
Playback could not be started on the output 'ASIO' using the format '48kHZ 64bit 2ch'..."

Thoughts? I haven't made any changes to formats etc.

Thanks,
wild

Some FLAC files are not ordinary FLAC.  They're "uncompressed" or they're multi-channel.  They probably shouldn't be named FLAC.

WAV or AIFF most probably.

Soon this info would be no more. I'm looking for playclub uk info on how it's trustworthy. I've heard this place can be trusted. But I never been there before.
