Remote pause goes back to menu
« on: January 08, 2018, 11:25:47 pm »

When pushing pause the program drops out and goes back to the menu.

Proceed back to the movie and click play then click pause again and it works as per normal, then pause again at some point through the movie and again it jumps back to the menu.

Does it do it immediately, or after a Pause of about 10 minutes?

New function:
Quote
23.0.3 (6/13/2017)
1. NEW: Video playback stops when paused for 10 minutes.

New setting to turn the function off:
Quote
23.0.40 (8/22/2017)

1. Changed: Added the video option "Stop after a long pause" to make the new behavior optional (defaults to on).

Setting located at "Options > Video > Advanced > Stop after a long pause"

If it happened immediately you hit Pause, and it is not repeatable, MC must have got a little out of whack. I always reboot if I see strange behaviour, as it is often caused by Windows and not worth trying to track down, unless I can reproduce it consistently.

Hi RoderickGI.
thanks again for your reply.
It does it immediately not after a long pause.

Hi guys.
Our issue is not fixed and is rather annoying when Pausing jumps to the menu.

No ideas here.

Well, other than the remote could be sending a Stop instead of a Pause command. Or MC has been changed to interpret a Pause as a Stop.

Not today I'm afraid Maid.

I don't tweak madVR much either, so I'm not really an expert. I do use MC23 though. It isn't much different to earlier versions in the basics.

I know you have tried before, but the best way to get help is to post on the forums, as more people will see it and may be able to help. Also, don't assume everyone knows how you have MC setup and how you use it. I know, for example, that you Bitstream to your Onkyo for everything, which means MC DSP is irrelevant.

It would be best if you wrote a summary of your setup with the Server and Client(s), including the versions of software and models of hardware you are using and how you use MC, then describe the problem(s) you are having. I'm happy to help via the forum when I can, but I'm afraid I'm not paid JRiver support.  ;)
