recently with the latest ios update 11.2.5, jremote, and mc23 local playback to my ipad consistently stops around the 5-7 min mark with video playback. 

i have to restart jremote, restart the video, upon which it restarts playback at the end of the video.   rewinding seems to work. 

this has happened for several videos now.   this seems to only be local playback

it has made video playback on jremote to local device useless for me

also noticed that deleting servers often causes jremote to crash.   not even a minor inconvenience, but jremote perhaps needs an update or test for compatibility with the latest ios version

i can’t be the only one who uses jremote for local device playback

I have this a long time. Around 5-7 minutes JRemote just stops playing, a little bit rewind can help to start play again, but it than stops playing randomly. Driving me crazy.
I now use Air Video Server HD on windows 10, which is free, and the Player of this on IOS 11. Not free but not so expensive. I works very good. Quality of video is great,
and audio too. It is a long time since JRemote had an upgrade.

It seems like I have the same issue. In my case, JRemote seems to play a video file in Live mode first, while loading the file in the background. Once fully loaded (normally after ~5 min or so) the playback stops. If the same movie/episode is then played afterwards - it works fine.
Are there any settings on the server side to fix this?

interesting - never noticed that, but yes typically when it stops playback i can restart and it works from there.
