In the past I had this problem but have not had this for a while.  I am on MC 23.0.96. 

When selecting an album to play, the MC sometimes starts with a different track than the first.  If I chose the first track, it plays and then just stops.  While the first track is playing, clicking Next jumps to the last track even though all tracks are playable.  It all seems random.

The setup is to play over DLNA to a Beagle Bone Black based endpoint into a Musical Fidelity (MF) V-Link192 and then to the MF M1 DAC via AES Balanced input.

Has anyone seen this?

There is a "Shuffle" icon near the top right of the screen. I suspect you have this enabled.

Thank you!  That was precisely what happened!

I should have paid more attention to the highlighted shuffle icon...although a bit more information (like shuffle on) on the top status panel would have helped.
