MC22 for QNAP (HD-Station) aborts after entering Master License for MC23

<< < (2/2)

JimH:
Your licenses look OK.  You have restores left.

Here's how to restore your license:

A fiurther step has ben done, the next problem is awaiting ;-)

... after now successful restoring (as you can see beneath) the app starts, but after 2-3 sec it aborts with the comment you else can see

admin@ubuntu_1604:~$ mediacenter22 /RestoreFromFile '/share2/OS/Media Center23 Master-mynumbers.mjr'
License restored successfully from file /share2/OS/Media Center23 Master-mynumbers.mjr
admin@ubuntu_1604:~$ mediacenter22
Illegal instruction
admin@ubuntu_1604:~$

A look into /var/log/syslog shows the following:

Feb 21 21:07:33 ubuntu_1604 kernel: 6>[252357.159773] traps: mediacenter22[20818] trap invalid opcode ip:7fdfc1f02b7f sp:7fdfc0b4eaf8 error:0 in libgmp.so.10.2.0[7fdfc1e98000+87000]

Can anyone tell how to fix that?

There is nothing special on this installation, it is only intended for mc and got the latest updates before installing mc22

Awesome Donkey:
Hmmm, libgmp. Out-of-date libs, maybe? Or the issue MC 22.0.111 had with crashing caused by the private libraries which was fixed in 22.0.111-5?

IMO, since MC for QNAP was dropped and is now unsupported, the Docker method is probably the only way to get it working correctly with the least amount of hassle.
