Tagging on Import - complex Rule writing
« on: February 18, 2018, 10:38:06 am »

Hello,

Is there a way to tag pdf booklets during import process?

I have my flacs and PDF booklets in the same folder.

I would like to write a “Rule” that extracts Album and Genre tags from one flac file (not a particular one, just one contained in the folder) and then applies these tags to the PDF file.

Is that possible?

Final goal : Being able to view the pdf Booklets in JRemote and have all files stored together in the same folder after applying a “Remove, Move..”

Tag on Import might help.

You might need to use MC's Rename, Move, or Copy tool to move the files to directories according to their tags first.

Hello Jim,

Thank you  for your reply.

What you propose is what I am doing. "Rename, Move..." is a powerful tool. Unfortunately I'm not able to achieve my goals. I thought that a rule could solve things out. But I'm unable to write that rule.

I started another thread in regard of my problem. Perhaps you could give it a check. I explain my difficulties in details.
The subject is :
Importing/moving flacs and PDF bookelts for use with JRemote

Again, thanks for your help.
