How to open madVR's madTestPatternSource files in JRiver?
« on: February 21, 2018, 03:46:15 pm »

There is a new madTestPatternSource used for testing HDR through madVR that madshi released today. I have no idea how I remember old threads, but I remembered that jmone had asked about this. I thought it might have been last year, but it was 5 years ago!

How To Use? madTestPatternSource

I can't get these to work in JRiver and don't really want to install MPC-HC. Can support be added for these files?

Here is the link to madTestPatternSource:  http://madshi.net/madTestPatternSource.zip

Instructions:
INSTALL: run install.bat (with admin rights!)
USAGE: drag one of the "*.ytp" files into your favorite media player

I've added support for this in a future version, but I'm not certain when it'll show up in a build.
Note that the test pattern source is only available in 32-bit, and you'll continue to need to manually install it if you want to use it.

On that note, where did you read about the new version? I didn't spot it yet.

The quality of JRiver's forum support is well above average!  :)

It was in the Madvr HDR to SDR mapping: already great, soon even better for projector? thread at AVS Forum.
