UI scaling for 4K screens?
« on: February 23, 2018, 05:38:34 pm »

I just got a nice 17" gaming laptop with 4K screen. Many of my applications, like Photoshop, Lightroom, and Chrome support the ability to scale up the UI elements - fonts, menus, dialog boxes so they are readable on UHD displays like mine. With JRiver Media Center v23 the text is very tiny on my 3840x2160 17" screen.

In Windows 10, you can adjust the display settings to scale up the size of text. This doesn't have any effect on JRiver Media Center. And it didn't effect Lightroom or Photoshop but they have a way to scale text in their preferences so the programs work well with UHD displays.

Is there a way to scale these UI elements in JRiver Media Center?

Nevermind...

I figured out that under Options in the Tree & View section, increasing the font size scales up the UI to make it workable with 4K displays.

In the Main menu under View -> Size is also a scale selection.

My UI switches often and on it's own. It might be linked to desktop resolution changes when I'm trying to get 3D to work on my 4K display. So I never know if standard view is going to have normal font size, huge fonts or really small fonts.
