EMP file problem
« on: January 28, 2003, 09:02:37 am »

I downloaded media jukebox and have followed all the directions yet it won't play from explorer.
All I want to do is be able to play mp3 files on my PC and these fancy programs won't let me do it.

your post is only an hour old

and i am not sure what your saying

Internet Explorer Or Windows File Explorer?

If you go to MJ\MC then click on Help then System Info, you can post that info into your message, and then maybe someone can help.

if you go to settings, general is Media Jukebox Shell intigration enabled ([X] checked)

I have installed media jukebox. I am trying to play an .EMP  file directly from Windows File Explorer.  As expl in the help file of MJ, I rite clik on the file and select play.  Then I get an error message that my file is "not a valid WIN32 application".  I do not know how to fix this.
I went to 'settings' and my media players are not listed to adjust. Need help, please.

Try dragging the file onto the player window of MJ (lower left corner).

Thanks for the reply.
Still not working.
I tried that.  As soon as I drop the drag in I get a WARNING message that reads: "You must select file(s) to play".  That doesn't make sense because I already selected the file and even dragged it.   I keep doing that over and over with no results.

Did you try importing the files?

Yes, I tried to import earlier and just tried again.
It appears to work but there appears a box showing one file attempted and none imported.  I hit the details box and all it shows is the file name (it's an .EMP file) that I tried to import.
No luck there. thanks for helping, any other ideas?

Did you try importing the mp3 files that the playlist refers to?
