Transfer from Windows to Mac
« on: March 16, 2018, 04:27:59 pm »

Hi guys,

Long time windows jriver user here. Recently acquired a mac min and installed jriver 23 on it. I export library from windows and import it to mac. When I try to play some files, they all pop up with “The file could not be found. Chech that file name in the library matches the filename on the disk ”.

I store all my music files on a NAS. Any idea? Thank you.

File paths on Mac are different than Windows (and same with Linux, depending on mount location), so the location of the files isn't the same path.

You can use MC's Find and Replace tool to change the path.

I moved this to the Mac board.  There are other threads on this subject.

The wiki has a topic called Moving Files.

You can use MC's Find and Replace tool to change the path.

When using this function, there’s no option for path or filename which indicates path.
