The way to keep corect Media files on disk !!!

What method to keep meny files is realy good ?
I have a HDD ( 120GB ) with 3 partition ( C for XP ; D for tools,games,doc etc and E with only one folder that contains 3 category 1-Audio 2-Image and 3-Video ). E is the bigger partition and most important and C i formated every time !

Q: What do you thing ? What is the best method to keep MEDIA files safe, to protect the problem during use them? (ex. virus, crash system, brakedown mistake , etc.

If you have a own concept, i wait your scheme here !

I'm using unix system for data storage.  Using old 700MHz P3 and 80GBx4 software RAID5 on Promis Ultra 100 cards.  It's cheap and safe way to keep data alive from drive failure.

All files/folders are exported as read-only, so Windows program cannot modify them.  However, kinda virus or worm may be able to kill my files...  I'm just trying to not think about them since I don't have money to back up them.

Hehehe.  It's the perfect way to protect my data from fire/flood/any other physical damage.  I prefer to use my office space for that purpsoe instead your house, though.
