Exclusive mode during pause
« on: March 18, 2018, 04:49:40 am »

When files are played in MC the program takes control on all other inputs i.e. I can't play in another program together with MC. I have turned OFF Exclusive mode in Windows Sound control but it did not help.
The only way to allow another program to play is to STOP MC playback, the PAUSE button s not enough to allow other programs to play. Can you please change this behavior and disengage exclusive mode after pressing the PAUSE button?

Thanks

The way pause works, this is not possible, sorry. It would result in the pause behavior to fundamentally change, which most people would not expect or want.
If you want other applications to play audio while MC is playing, don't use an exclusive output. DirectSound probably works fine.

I am using ASIO with my DAC. Should it work if I turn OFF exclusive mode in windows sounds for this device, because it does not.

Thanks

ASIO is basically always exclusive. The Windows settings don't affect it.
