Linking blackberry pi to jriver on laptop via router/wifi

I am trying to set up music streaming using jriver as a music source from a laptop with windows 10.
JRiver is failing to identify the remote device (raspberry pi with dac)
Can anyone help

What are you running on the pi?

Hi. Thanks for the reply. This is were I show my ignorance. I have borrowed to RPi from a friend and just plugged it in. Do I need to do something with it to make it visible to the laptop

Is it running MC?  Or a DLNA Renderer?
