Play to network DLNA device

Gotta ask a noob question cos I'm lost  ;D

Isn't it possible to play to a network connected DAC? i've got a Teac NT-503 which is connected to the network. It supports DLNA 1.5.

I thought it would be easy to configure MC24 (on Linux) to play to this device, but I can't figure it out. Can't see the device and honestly, I'm not even sure where or how to add it.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks!

JimH:
If it's DLNA, it should show up under Playing Now.  It can take a couple of minutes.  Drag a file to it when you see it.

Make sure Media Network is turned on in MC settings.

You could check to see if the device shows up on the network as a media device in Windows Explorer.  It's possible the device isn't set up correctly.

Thanks, that's what I thought but what if it's not appearing?

JimH:
The device may not be set up correctly.  Can you see it from any other device?  A TV, for example?

InflatableMouse:
It does, I can play to it from some Android apps that support upnp/dlna like this one.
