Hi,

I want to keep my playlists even if I rename files or when rename and move the folders my files are in.

Is there a way to keep my playlists?

I tried to fix this with smartlists but I didn't found a way to select the criteria I need. Therefore I need to use the * to find the correct files. I would like to use a field (maybe 'notes') to type there manually my playlist criteria (e.g. Rock1, Rock2, Pop) in and then setup the smartlist with Rock* to make a general Rock playlist.

Does anybody know that? Thanx!

The easiest way to learn Smartlist rules is to look at the Help on the Index tab under Smartlists/Smartlist & Search Rules & Modifers. Then look at some of the pre-made Smartlists that come with MC to see how the rules are used.

Also, I don't think * is valid as a wildcard in Smartlists, so I don't think Rock* will work. [Rock" will find everything in whatever field you've selected that starts with Rock.

I looked in the Help before but didn't found a modifier to find Rock anywhere, instead in the beginning or end, in a field. I don't think that this exists!?
