I have all my music wonderfully catalogued in Media Centre - i copy drag songs to play lists in Winamp - but Winamp has issues of its own.  I would love to extend Media Centre to broadcast to my audio stream.  Any ideas please?

Maybe i am wrong but i think MC can do this natively without external software.

Options=>General=>features=>tick media network.

And you 'll have this if it's what you looking for.

This did not address my issue.  I want to effectively run my own radio station.  I have my streaming URL, logon, password etc - for which i use Winamp Shoutcast Source DSP plugin.  I cannot find any options to use such a feature out of JRiver Media Centre.  The previous reply did not provide any details of where to enter the key servers, logons, etc.  Still after any help if possible.  Thanks in anticipation

I got a shoutcast stream running from JRiver for you! ;)

I've left my shoutcast stream up running so you can try it.

You need MB Radio to capture soundcard output and rebroadcast to a shoutcast server. I have JRiver running now. It's possible to also create text files of tracks playing with a JRiver plugin and read them in with MB Radio to send the track title.  (I used it previously for outputting text files for my G19 LCD keyboard.)

MB Radio - configure it with the sound device you want to capture. And then setup the stream server you want to encode to.

I created a shoutcast zone in JRiver MC and mapped a virtual sound card to that zone. (you can use your normal sound card too) You need to turn off exclusive mode so the device can be shared with MB Radio to capture it.
There's probably other ways to do this but i got this working in 20mins.

This is an amazing tool.

Anyone have any experience with Radionomy? I can't get my page to link to my Shoutcast server.

  • Where did I put my teeth?

It probably only works with the 32 bit version of MC.

You can use a new version of MC, but it needs to be 32 bit.
