I use JRemote to control playback on my MC server, which is running from a Windows 10 media PC. The PC is connected via HDMI to my receiver, and the receiver is connected via HDMI to my television. I get an error if anything is played before the receiver is turned on, and I get an error if video is played before the TV is turned on. The error says "Playback could not be started using the format: (format).... Would you like to have your DSP studio... changed automatically?" The error is completely logical because, I presume, it couldn't complete the HDMI handshaking because the playback device is unavailable. However, I *always* want to cancel out of the error and restart playback without changing the DSP settings. Unfortunately, to cancel out I must dig out the wireless keyboard, because I can't get out of the error via JRemote. It's a level of complexity my wife and daughter, and guests not familiar with the system, get intimidated by.
Long story short, can this error come with a "Never Show this again" option? I am fine with the playback simply failing without feedback. Or maybe put a timer on the dialog so that it automatically cancels after x number of seconds? I like to keep things simple for my family, and I don't want someone to accidentally change the DSP settings.
I would have posted this in the "Too Easy" but I can't find a thread for v.24.
EDIT: In an ideal world, I guess it would be great if the program realized when the devices became available that the error was obsolete, and automatically closed itself when HDMI completed handshaking. I doubt that would be "too easy" though.
