2160p 4k
« on: May 28, 2018, 06:56:24 pm »

Played a couple of 4k movies no problem, tried another last night and it was jumpy like slo mo.
Not sure what caused this but as these are so big is there some way I can tell programs not to scan for updates and defender to scan at a certain time just in case that was the problem.
I have all of jriver folders in defender to not scan

Using MadVR to do chroma upsampling? ... if you tuned your Madvr to movie with black bars to perform just without frame drops ... movies that are truly 16:9 can cause frame drops (basically MadVr ignore black bars when scaling ... so full 16:9 movie will consume more resources)

Also ... when tuning upscaling ... do so with subtitles on ... as subtitles do consume some processing time and can cause frame drops

I haven't used any of those settings as they have caused me more problems.

We use HDMI bitstreaming and if i put any settings in madvr we tend to get problems with 25p shows.
everything is perfect without any extra settings. just this 2160p.

Refresh rate is 60.
