The OP is running Windows 7 on an Intel NUC, which lacks the secure boot support Windows 8 introduced and lacks the driver signing requirements Windows 10 has enforced.
The WDM driver *should* work on Windows 7. Do you still have MC23 installed there alongside MC24? If so, you might wanna uninstall MC23 (as a test at least). You might have to run MC24 as an administrator, and then in MC's Options > General > Features uncheck the WDM driver then finally exit MC24. Reopen MC24 (again as an administrator) and go back to MC's Options > General > Features section and check the WDM driver and then close MC24. You might wanna reboot your NUC after doing this, then start MC24 normally (meaning not as an administrator) and see if the WDM driver works.
It might require (extensive?) code changes to the driver itself in order to get it working. Who knows, it might require a partial rewrite of the WDM driver itself.
