Grouping view schemes
« on: June 05, 2003, 11:51:21 am »

Hi all,

I have a good number of view schemes under the "Audio" view scheme group and I would like to group those view schemes into 3 or 4 cathegories for easier navigation. For instance, having a tree like this:

000 Audio
      + Albums
      + Artists
      + Genres
      + Miscellaneous

and having all my current view schemes visible in their relative group... as follows:

000 Audio
      + Albums
           - All Albums
           - Location/Albums
           - Decade/Albums
           ....
      + Artists
           - All Artists
           - Artist/Album/Track (grouped)
           - Artist/Album/Track
           ....
      + Genres
           - All Genres
           - Genre/SubGenre
           - Genre/Albums
           - Genre/Decade/Albums
           ....

... and so on... instead of having one group "Audio" and 15 view schemes hanging from it.

How can I do that? I'm trying to set a "view scheme group" but what I get is something in the "Audio" level not in the immediate lower level nested to "Audio" as I would like to have  :-/

Thanks for your time.

Right Click Media Library and select new view scheme group.  This creates a view scheme group on the same level as your audio group

You can also drag-n-drop them around.

Dragging and dropping View Schemes from one View Scheme Group to another doesn't seem to be working for me right now. Anyone else? Not sure what build this started with, but I know for sure that it hasn't been working in the last two.

It doesn't look like it's possible to nest a View Scheme Group  inside another View Scheme Group, as the option to Add New View Scheme Group seems to only be available when right-clicking on Media Library.

I know... The problem is that i want it in a LOWER level than my audio group and in a HIGHER level than my current view schemes, I mean... in between   :-/

Exactly... that's my problem. I cannot have 3 levels as I wanted... only the main one (Audio) and everything nested to it in one only level. I think you can do it with playlists but not with view schemes unless I'm missing something.
