« on: August 17, 2018, 08:35:49 pm »

Hi everyone, don't know where I should be posting this but  I am trying to find how I can rip a blu ray and extract audio from blu rays.
Any good pointers will be very very much appreciated !

Here are a couple of links from the Wiki to get you going:

https://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/Convert_Format

If you are trying to extract the Audio from a Music Blu-ray by Song then this may be of interest

Thanks, I gave all this a try but... No result.
When ripping a Blu-Ray, I get a HD ( DVD) version and an SD one but there is a BDMV file about 31Gig created with a play length of 0 seconds...
No luck attempting to convert audio from it of course. And the audio in the HD version is lossy aac.
Must be doing something wrong. I installed Power DVD HD on the machine ( windows 10 system ) it will play the Blu-Ray but does nothing to chained JRiver 24 behaviour.
Help please !

It sounds like it is still encrypted (see the wiki links again)?  Do you have an on the fly decrypter prog like AnyDVDHD running in the background when you rip with MC?  Another alternative is to use MakeMKV (it is a standalone decrypter ripper and/or MKV creator and when it is finished doing its thing you can import the results into MC for playback and conversion).

I use MakeMKV.  Works for everything I have thrown at it.  Free while in beta (get the key from their forums).  It has been in beta for as long as I can remember!

Thanks all ! It was an encryption problem. I have succeded with Anydvd HD but I only have a temporary key for it and the permanent one is unreasonnably expensive, at least for me.
I will try to find and experiment with makeMKV
