Install on NUC and MacBook

Im in the process of trying to put jriver on a NUC.
Do i put the media player on the NUC and the stored FLACS unconnected HD ?

What do i put on the Mac book to control the player ?
Is it the media player also ?

You can install Media Center on the NUC and leave the files on an external hard drive. Media Center will still be able to import them.

With the MacBook, you could also install Media Center and use it to load the library from the NUC copy of Media Center and control it that way.
