Sidecar tagging and handheld syncing
« on: September 04, 2018, 08:40:42 am »

I searched thru the forum but did not find an answer or an indication to an answer:

I use sidecar only tagging on a 2.5 TB library of live concert recordings which are shared using DC++. These files, if tagged, would change their hash which is not desired by the sharing community for the sake of integrity. When I transfer files to a handheld these tags are evidently not included in the file and sidecar files are not transferred either. Do I miss a parameter somewhere to include those tags in the transfered files ? Or is it actually simply not possible ?

I'd imagine the media player software on the handheld doesn't support sidecar files like that, hence why they're likely not transferred.

The player definitely does not recognize xml sidecars! Any trick to include the tags into the file when transferring  to the handheld ?
