Upmix plugin instead of JRSS?

Is anyone using a plugin to do the upmix from stereo to multichannel?  I currently use the built in JRSS for this, but it doesn't have many handles.  Perhaps there is a good plugin that allows more customization.  I have not found anything on the forum thru search.

I've looked at a lot of the professional plugins that are very powerful, but also very $$$.  And I'm not even sure how well they would insert into the stream.

Anyone try something that allows some fine control over your upmix?  Or something you just think sounds good?
