Volume Control does not work
« on: October 03, 2018, 03:01:41 am »

Since my DAC does not have a remote, I would like to control volume of JRiver playback using JRemote.
Since the JRemote Volume slider does not change the volume can somebody tell me which settings for JRiver?

Thanks much

probably worth describing your setup in a bit more detail as jremote volume should work.

FWIW here are some situations where I've personally had problems, the main two being

* controlling volume of assorted DLNA devices, never got this to work reliably
* when zoneswitch is active, jremote has a "App follow server zones" setting which doesn't seem to work for me (reliably at least) and/or the active zone is not updated when the WDM driver kicks

the 2nd point is really saying that jremote (IMO) can behave in a somewhat unintuitive fashion where multiple zones are involved

Just because it was the default. I supposed JRiver make the best option (sonically) as the default
