"Riffle" shuffle
« on: October 04, 2018, 09:23:43 am »

Does anyone know a way, in JRiver MC, to shuffle together two playlists (A and B) so that it starts falls into a pattern like A,B,A,B,A,B,A,B,... ?  I've tried a few things, but nothing seems to work quite right.

Thanks in advance for any help.

There's not a way to do this right now, but I'm working on adding a combine feature for playlists to the next build.

It will offer these combine methods:
A,B,A,B,etc.
A,A,B,B
B,B,A,A
Shuffled

Thanks for the idea :)

Very cool. I have been wanting something like this for years to replicate the ole radio "Clocks" from my former broadcast career. Where the system would program something like:

Current
70's
80's
Recurrent
60's
90's

etc etc.

Hopefully this combine with let us handle a good half dozen playlists at a time.

Wow, I wish I'd said something earlier!  Thanks for the quick reply.

That's basically what I've been trying to do too.  Replicating some radio-like structure.  This definitely sounds promising.
