Wasapi loopback and REW
« on: October 15, 2018, 12:43:58 pm »

Hi.
I've been using the Wasapi loopback to make measurements with REW and a UMIK-1. That way I can easily alter the JRiver DSP settings almost live.

But recently I get heavily distorted sweeps. The 256k sweep is often clean, but the longer sweep are useless.
Also a generated sinus tone is heavily distorted.
mp3 files are attached, there is a long silence between the sweeps.

Wasapi loopback otherwise works, for instance when playing Youtube videos.

If I record a generated a sweep with REW and then replay it with JRiver while REW is waiting for the timing reference signal, I often get that the output switches from PCM 44.1 kHz to PCM DoP.
That is what the DAC says anyway (Exasound e38).
After the switch there is silence.

To me it seems like Java engine conflict.

Any ideas?
