Stop Playback upon Launching External Program in Theaterview
« on: November 06, 2018, 08:15:53 pm »

Is this possible?  I recently had some guests over at my home and they revealed a troublespot in controlling MC.  They were watching something local (I think a recorded show) and decided to change to Netflix.  They hit back a few times on the remote, bringing them to the Video submenu in Theater View, where they found my button for Netflix (Theater View is set to launch the Windows 10 Netflix app).  They selected and launched Netflix, but the local playback of whatever they were watching continuing playing, causing much confusion and immediate request for my attention to remedy the situation.

Hitting "Stop" for me has become so ingrained whenever changing playback content that it didn't occur to me that this could represent a problem for uninitiated users.

Is it possible to send a "Stop Playback" command automatically upon launching an external program in Theater View?

Thanks
