Best setting to avoid clipping
« on: November 15, 2018, 01:42:43 am »

Hi.

I've noticed, due to recently using the DSP PEQ, I am now experiencing clipping. So I am wandering, to allow for clipping headroom, is it better to use the internal volume, or the DSP graphic equalizer ‘pre amp slider?

Thanks

is clip protection on?  it usually works for me no matter what i do with the DSP

if you want to turn the "master volume" down to avoid clipping you should slide the pre-amp down...even better try to make your DSP changes negative rather than positive (invert your changes)

Yes, clip protection is on. I’d like to avoid clipping because I noticed the volume kept lowering when I watched a movie the other night. I also noticed lip sync issues which I’ve never noticed before either.
