Linux Builds are Looking Good
« on: November 20, 2018, 10:02:17 pm »

I'd just like to compliment the team on how far the linux version has come in terms of cosmetics and menu rendering in the last little while.  I hadn't noticed on my main rigs because everything has been incremental, but I just did a fresh install on a new tablet and was really impressed with how nice everything looks out of the box, and especially how nicely the windows and the drop down menus render now (smoother than a lot of native gtk programs).  Things have come a long way from a few major versions ago!

Yeah. Recent build has much faster drawings. But I still see white flicker when calling menus on menubar or with RMB, it's better to see with dark/black theme.

I'm thinking that's likely related to window drawing.
