Incomplete albums
« on: May 28, 2003, 03:00:04 am »

Please could somebody define an incomplete album for me so that I know what to change to have it be complete?

All tracks are present yet it still lists as incomplete.

Check and make sure that all the tracks for that album are physically in the same directory.  I know that shouldn't matter, but that may make a difference.  I have found it to be so in the past.

You sure have taken it into consideration, but just to remind you that all the track numbers have to be filled sequentialy without any number missing in-between.

Thanks guys,

I have checked both of those.

Could someone from J River give the definative answer as to what constitutes an incomplete album?

So, finally, by renaming files, moving folders and checking track numbers I am left with just 3 'Incomplete Albums'.

Each of these is a 1 track album and no matter what I try they are still listed as incomplete.

How does MC determine complete v incomplete when there is only 1 track.

All help appreciated in resolving this last step in having a really 'clean' library.

A typical ' Can't reproduce it '.
Created a possible solution on my drawboard in mind and then grabed my only one track album to see if it workes but it is listed as complete. ( a one track rip of 'a saucerful of secrets' by pink floyd, mp3, album and trackname are the same, no unusual entries in file properties ) It's complete in .174 as in .178.  Even if I alter the trackname.
?
Else, my idea was to create 3sec mp3's with silence, tag them with albumname and track #2 and set view filter so MC don't show them. ( exclude tracks < 4 sec. )
In other words a dummy to 'fool' MC9
I'd like to do some other checks but it's father's day today here in Ger.  ;)

Hope this is a help
