Importing movies
« on: December 20, 2018, 11:28:28 pm »

When I import a ripped movies eg terminator (2011)
jriver is adding periods and other info, this affect get movie and tv info as it comes up not found.
I have to manually remove all the periods before it will find the info.
Is there a specific way to rename the file before importing to stop this behavior

MC, via the CARNAC functionality, doesn't put periods and other info into the movie name, except in very specific circumstances. i.e. When they are supposed to be there.

What is more likely, particularly if the files are MKVs, is that the file already has a value in the "Title" tag, so MC copies that title to the [Name] tag, as intended and it is supposed to.

If that is the case you could delete the Title tag from the file before importing, but it is probably easier to just correct the [Name] and if necessary [Year] tags, and then run "Get Movie & TV Info" against the record again.
