Help with Waves Plugins
« on: January 08, 2019, 01:23:29 pm »

Hey there folks. Just purchased MC on mac for a mix/edit room. Need to be able to use a lot of our Waves mercury bundle, especially our Waves Linear Phase plugs on our reference library cuts and our work in progress cuts. I have seen several threads like this, which seem to indicate that Waves are not supported... https://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php/topic,114139.msg815081.html#msg815081

Everytime I try to add the waves items to the plugin in list, i get... the "failed to install plugin" error message.

Tried on 3 macs, with 10.12.6 Sierra, was v9 and waves v10. Nothing passes! Arghhh

Is this the case, that Waves plugs wont work with MC? That would be a serious oversight and not make us very happy at all. ;) What are we overlooking? What is the problem with MC and Waves plugs?

Thank you so much for your help! We really need to get this resolved.

I don't think any of the Waves plugins work in Media Center without using a wrapper like Blue Cat's PatchWork. It's available on Mac, so you might give that a go and see if it works.

Thank you Donkey man. What is the actual problem? What is the wrapper needing to do to make MC see all the waves stuff?
