Upgrading problem

I have MC21 and bought the MC25 figured out I need MC24 , but installer fails " JR tools Failed to load"
I have Vista /32Bit (yea i know) need to figure out what is going on?

Did you download the 32 bit version of MC?

Download the latest version which I believe is 24.0.75

This is a new build of JRiver Media Center 24.  Please post bugs here.  Please start a new thread for anything requiring discussion.  Non-bug posts will be deleted.

Download 32-bit build

Used this link and it still downloaded ver. 72

Did you execute the download when it finished?  That's needed to install it.

Yes, I went off JR site and used another link, now installer is identified as 24.0.75 but same problem

Your antivirus software or your firewall is blocking MC24.

There's also a chance MC may not work on Vista anymore - I believe somebody else had a similar problem a month or so ago.

Going by the Windows system requirements listed there, it says Windows 7 and above. It makes sense, Vista is now a dead OS that won't receive anymore updates and should be considered insecure. Anyone running Vista these days should consider upgrading to Windows 8.1 or Windows 10 (Windows 7's support ends within a year, hence why no recommendation for it).
