How to upgrade from MC15 to MC24

Help!  I've been fat and happy with MC15 for years, never feeling the need to perform an upgrade to the latest version. But, time has caught up with me. How in the heck do I perform such an upgrade, without destroying my existing library? Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you.

MC should be able to convert it automatically when you install, but you can also back up and restore your library.  File > Library ...
