bad picture quality using JRiver as client
« on: February 14, 2019, 01:57:49 am »

Hi All,

my setup at the moment is:
two Mini-PCs using Windows10 and latest version of JRiver.
One is used as client/server, one only as client.
Both are controlled by an iPadAir 2 using JRemote.
Connecting to the client/server PC with JRemote all pictures in an album folder (eg. back cover, inlay etc.) will be shown in their original size (with using button assets)
Connecting to the client the same pictures will be shown in JRemote in a very bad quality.
I think this is not a JRemote setting, so I post it here. I can't find any wrong setting for pictures in JRiver (in both PCs).
Any idea?

Under Media Network settings on the server, try changing conversion settings.

you mean client options -> picture conversion? (sorry if that's not correct in the english JRiver version, I am using german one). Setting there is "original", in my understanding no conversion. Should be correct, right? However, bad picture quality with this setting.

In your title, you say "using JRiver as client".  JRemote?  JRiver Media Center?  What version?

as written in my start posting.
JRiver Medicenter 24.0.75 on PC1 (used as Server and Client) - Connected via JRemote (latest version) shows all pictures in an album folder correct on my iPad.
JRiver Medicenter 24.0.75 on PC2 (used as Client only) - Connected via JRemote (latest version) shows all pictures in an album folder in a bad quality.

All settings on both are in the same way to convert nothing. Not the audio files (works absolutly correct) and not pictures files. the Cover itself will be shown correct, it concerned only all other pictures in album folder.
